Diviyā: The Sri Lankan word for "leopard".
I was out of it yesterday, and was going to paint this a jaguar with the reference to this wonderful painting. But figured, why not? All cats turn out leopards when I paint them anyway... :d
Got new art supplies! As used on my last leopard painting
I used the watercolor pencils and tube watercolor up in about a thousand layers... thing took forever to get the color and depth I wanted, and it is STILL a bit muddy in places. Ah well, had fun on the incredible clayboard texture which is like nothing i've ever painted on!

Almost as gorgeous as the Amur, these guys are also critically endangered, with about 75 in captivity...
